Elgin wrestling Freshman Cooper Schlaegel had a perfect month of February for Coach Levi Pasma’s wrestling squad.

Cooper was undefeated at the Marion County Meet, the state dual regional meet and the state duals finals. Copper also captured KMAC, Sectional, and District titles during the month of February.

Cooper was a perfect 20-0 during the month and was not scored on a single time. He recorded 30 takedowns, 4 pins, and 1 tech fall during the voting period which wrestling many returning state qualifiers and previous state placers.
