Kylee Sardina - River Valley

The January 2025 Fahey Bank Athlete of the Month for Girls is River Valley's Kylee Sardina for Wrestling!

Congratulations, Kylee!

Kylee went 10-2 in the month of January.

• Winning Columbus DeSales tournament for her 7th career tournament victory.
• Placing 3rd at 58 team Mechanicsburg Heart of Ohio tournament, losing a close match to a State Alternate from Lebanon.
• Placed 3rd at 55 team New Lexington tournament, losing a heartbreaker, but a great learning opportunity, to a very good Freshman who beat a state qualifier for the tournament victory
• All 10 wins during the month of January were by pin. She scored 62 match points against her 12 opponents while only giving up 10 match points in those matches
• Kylee is wrestling well and is ready to take on great competition to make it to the state tournament

After the end of January, she had a career record of 97-28 and achieved 100 career wins on February 1st to be the first female at River Vallet to achieve this mark as well as the first female in Marion County to achieve 100 wins in wrestling.

Kylee spent many evenings helping out mini–Yikes Youth wrestling program that finished up during the month of January.
